USB Drives

Hi All

My work (not-for-profit overseas aid agency)has finally decided to buy us usb sticks to use for when we monitor projects (instead of us using our own).

I would imagine we would need ten or so, prob 2gb would be ok. Also no caps (swivel or clicking ones) as i always lose them :)Write speeds etc. not so important as we would mostly be doing documents and only occasionally photos and short vids.

Appreciate any heads up on any good deals :)

  • After having a cheap flash drive fail on me, I advise getting brand name (sandisk, lexar, kingston, etc) drives rather than generic.
Harvey Norman and Officeworks normally have 2GB or 4GB flash drives on sale at the checkout.

  • Apparently you can get the 2GB Sandisk Cruzer for $10.48 pickup at a computer shop in Sydney, so maybe take this page into Officeworks and ask for their 5% price-beat:

I'm pretty sure the Sandisk Cruzer models don't use caps as can be seen here:

  • call up 9289 and ask for a deal. I went to their birthday event and bought 8gb usb kingston (slide out "flick" knife style = no cap) for $15.48 from memory. Might be able to get a deal on 10 of them?

    Great thanks all!
