2.1 PC Speakers: Logitech Z623 or Z2300

Apparently the Logitech Z2300 is heads and shoulders above in quality compared to its successor the Z623. The problem is that new Z2300s are not being manufactured anymore. Do you think its worth getting a preowned Z2300? I'm not really an audiophile, I just want to listen to heavy metal whenever I'm on the PC.

In addition, I'd like to replace my cheap but not bad for the price 5.1 X-530s (that I use with the TV) with something better. Any suggestions? Just so I can keep an eye out if/when a speaker deal shows up here.

    I have the Z623 and it is quite good and picked it up from officeworks for ~$130, loud and clear enough for when people come over.
    Don't know about the Z2300 but the Z623 is a good buy, IMO

    Ended up getting the Z623s. You know where I got it from, and how much I got it for.

    As superior as the Z2300s are, it's not being manufactured anymore and only available preowned. Getting the Z623 means peace of mind that it will work long enough.

      Ive actually got pair z2300 brand new in box sitting there for years lol, never used them think ill ebay them soon just collecting dust
