Hi fellow ozbargainer, I've been hearing and know people that is with Optus using their optus rewards for cheap movie tickets for years. Last year I tried to buy a $2 sim and try to register for it but my number was never eligible for it and their customer service told me I had to topup $30 before it become eligible.
Does anyone know how it all works and mind sharing how I could make an optus rewards account?
It is said that you need to hold a valid account for at least 7 days to be able to get registered with optus rewards. I might be wrong but I think they have kind of this mechanism.
So you might just get a $2 sim and choose a plan with longer expiry date and wait couple of days to be eligible.
