Why Does DickSmith Online Appear to Be Always off-Line ?

Following a tip from OzBargain, I purchased (and fully paid) for an item from dicksmithonline in eBay. The Order Details from the confirmation email showed an expected date when I can pick up the item from the local Dick Smith store. This expected date has been well passed, and as I have to go overseas next week, I have been trying to contact dicksmithonline to query about the pick-up date.

I use eBay a lot, and the communication between buyers and vendors are always responsive. dicksmithonline is an exception. Each and every time I send a message to it, I receive immediately an automated reply which informs me that dicksmithonline is out of the office until few days later!! And many days later, still no reply from dicksmithonline!!

Very poor customer service I must say.

Do you have same problems with dicksmithonline on eBay?

      Yes I did call 1300 366 644
      But the person said he couldn't help without a "Dispatch Number" - which I haven't got yet!
      So it looks like there is another arm of Dick Smith looking after the "dispatch" before this "Contact Us" Customer Service can be of any use (?)
      Just had a quick browse through the feedback for dicksmithonline in eBay. Majority of the negative ones are about the issues with customer service being lousy - not as good as other on-line stores in eBay which are more serious about business.

    Ah yes! tricky is a conglomerate of franchises that have no idea what is happening anywhere.

    A head office that has no idea of what day it is.

    A few staff members doing their own thing in head office with no coordination whatsoever.

    Absolutely pathetic

  • Ring the shop that's fulfilling the click and collect order, they should be able to help.

    I am in a same situation. Purchased DSLR camera on ebay on 29th of July with an option of click and collect from Sydney George st store. It has been 3 days but no notification. DSE online phone number are unable to help and i've tried calling store itself about 10 times but phone does not get answered.

    I must admit it is very frustrating. I dont even know why they have phones when they cannot answer them. I am sure this is not how a customer should be treated!
