Contact Lenses - Buying Online. Price Match Questions (Clearly Contacts and Quicklens)

I would like to purchase some Freshlook Colorblend contact lenses online. I have seen them at Quicklens.com.au for $16 a pair with free shipping over $48. Clearly.com.au currently have them for $19.99 with free shipping over $49.

I have never purchased from Quicklens before but have bought contact lenses from Clearly so I emailed Clearly and asked them to do a price match for 4 pair. They have emailed a quote but included a shipping charge. So I'm assuming that I have to pay shipping if I have the lenses price matched - I have emailed them to clarify this.

If they want me to pay shipping I think I may go with Quicklens. Just wondering if anyone here has purchased from them and if anyone has had dealings with their customer service?

Has anyone price matched through Clearly? Do you purchase the items and then they refund the difference?

I have had a bad experience recently with another company (getglasses.com.au). I had purchased 5 pairs of contacts from them last year. I have discovered a faulty lense but they won't do anything as it is past 30 days!

    I buy through Quicklens all the time and have never had a problem. My contacts need to be specially ordered in and they claim it can take up to 6 weeks for the order to come for the to ship to me, but I have always had it delivered within 2 weeks of me placing the order. I should add that the 6 weeks order time is normal in Australia at OPSM as well!

      Good to know. I am considering ordering through them while they have the free shipping offer. I haven't heard back from Clearly yet (I enquired about the shipping charge).

      So they are definitely genuine lenses?

    I have pricematched through clearly. They match the price including the shipping charge the competitor charges. They beat it too - by 5% I think? So worth doing.

    It used to be that you make the order then email them and they refund the difference for the price match/beat.

    Now you fill in the form on the website for the price match - I can't remember how it works from there sorry.

    I can vouch that I have never had a drama with the pricematch/beat though, they always refunded. Also always genuine, quick postage, etc.

    Never had a problem to test out how they are with faulty products etc.

    Also claimable on my health insurance.

      I ended up ringing them and they placed the order over the phone. Took a while but happy with the price (they beat Quicklens by 5%). Shipping was fast too.
