  • Is this the model that plays different region Blu-Ray Discs?

I guess he needs a few more dollars to afford his space flight…..

An Australian technology entrepreneur is set to become one of the first space tourists after paying his 10 per cent deposit on a $US200,000 ($219,000) ticket with Virgin Galactic.
Ruslan Kogan is a 27-year-old self-professed geek from Melbourne, who sells TV sets, laptops and other gadgets through his online store, Kogan.com.au.

Yes jxo, this can play Blu-rays from all regions. Email [email protected] after your purchase for instructions

Only about $25 more to get a Panasonic DMP-BD60 unit from a brick and mortar store (they go for around $250 or less).

Then you have the LG unit for around $280 which can play 1080p MKV/H264 movies from a USB thumb drive, and stream YouTube to your telly (if you're into that).

  • On the Specs, it says

    "Region-Free for DVD discs"

no mention of region-free Blue Ray as stated above…

  • This is region free for Blu-ray but it requires an unlock code to be entered on the remote control. DVDs from all regions will play straight out of the box

  • Hi,

Dont suppose there is any chance of another sale before xmas on the Kogan digital radio. I misread the last sale and turned up at 4pm only to find out I missed it.

  • great deal. Go regian free

  • very good deal, shame i bought a samsung couple weeks ago, i would have jumped on this straight away.

The 7.1 analouge your not going to find on any player cheaper or similar price then this and the region free bluray is why I am kicking myself now for buying the samsung!!!

    damn!

  • Great price! :)

Nota bad price but i just walked out of Harvey Norman in Chadstone and they have a Sharp Blu-Ray player for $249. I rather pay the extra to get the peace of mind and a name brand.

    • yeah…. samsung for 269 at good guys?
will likely pay a bit more for something better quality.
even sony is only retailing at 299 ……

      • but all only play Region B, this plays Region A as well and Region A is where all the cheap discs are.

plus bigger savings with the kogan if you dont want to buy a new hdmi amp.

  • I'd wait till after xmas and see the price plunge to under $200
