Bridgestone Ecopia EP100 or Continental Conti Contact 5?

Hi all,

Trying to decide between these two tyres by tommorrow. Continental is like $6 more than Ecopia. Just for a Lancer for city driving. So I guess whichever give the best fuel efficiency would be preferable.

What's you take? Which one would you go for?

  • conti's

  • Go The Conti's have them on my car their braking power is excellent saved me once now, great for us who drive in the ever dangerous city.

  • Thanks guys..it's settled! Conti it is then!

  • I've mostly had Bridgestone tyres but recently went for some Conti's. Very impressed.

The Ecopia is a fuel saver tyre so would probably give better efficiency.

I would go with the Conti's

Just watch if taking up these 4 for 3 deals that they still have your size still in stock.

    • called one of BJ store.. lucky they still got some in warehouse…will get them installed tomorrow :)

  • I'm going totally against the grain here. Admittedly my car has the continental coati-comfort-contact 5 and they are terrible. Grip is ok. Nothing spectacular. The old Yokohama A-Drives I had previously were much grippier. But they are harsh and noisy. Admittedly not the same tyre but I was pretty disappointed.

My dad has EP100's on his car and they are great tyres for everyday use. I had to push them extremely hard before they lost grip at all. They brake well and have excellent wet weather grip and true to their claim average fuel consumption dropped by about 0.2L/100km.

    Just my $0.02

  • Conti sport contact 5 are an excellent well regarded premium tyre. Buy with confidence. Ignore those comparing to other, totally different tyres
