Printing your Click and Collect order

So I went to pick up a click and collect order from Masters the other day, with the 20% off ebay promotion and all, and the guy in-front of me had printed out his order, it looked to be 2-3 pages, in FULL COLOUR!

Just wondering, does anyone else do this? If so, why?!!

I just show them my drivers licence and that's all they need. Some stores need you to show the order number or the paypal transaction ID (I'm looking at you The Good Guys) but I've never thought of wasting paper, ink, and COLOUR INK just for a click and collect order… ESPECIALLY when the idea of us buying through ebay with 20% off code and 2% cashback is to save as much money as we can.

If you spend $1 printing out your invoice for no reason, you're a bit silly.

    I always print out c&c invoices (@ work of course) it just speeds up the process.

    Maybe the guy printed it at work and didn't have to pay for printing and paper costs.

      He'd be paying for it in a different way if his boss finds out and doesn't take kindly to the waste.

      Maybe the guy was 'nocure'. I have never printed mine, always show them in my mobile, haven't had any problem yet.

    Never printed anything for click&collect. Smartphone screen has been enough.

    Printer ink is more expensive than unicorn blood. A major waste of money.

    Showing an SMS with the order number was all I needed to collect my eBay-Masters order

    If you've traveled 20+km to go to Masters, you'd want to make sure they'll accept it. You don't want to get there and have a problem with your phone, or for some reason they need a print out to scan something or rather. It's assurance if you have a print-out.

    I also do not print unless 100% necessary, and even then I'll do it at work :)

    Because this is what they ask you to bring in the ready for collection email.

    Please remember to bring these items to the front service counter:

    A copy of this confirmation email

    Photo ID of the person who placed the order
    Credit Card used to pay for this order

      It can be soft copy or hard copy. Never had problem with c&c just show sms or photo id. With the invention of smartphone, email or sms notification, printout is no longer relevant, wasting money and not good for the environment.
