Non-Olympus Lenses for Their M43 Range?

Hi all, just wondering what alternatives I have to official Olympus/Panasonic lenses for an Olympus micro 4/3 body. Samyang have a nice fish-eye that I'd never use (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005ZJ340E). Anyone know of any others?

Thanks

  • The Sigma primes get good reviews.

  • The Samyang is actually pretty cool. Manual focus is easy with focus peaking (+ set it to f5.6 or so and pretty much everything is in focus anyway).
As Jinxsphinx mentioned, the sigma primes are excellent lenses - very sharp and only around $200 each. 19mm, 30mm & 60mm (all f2.8)

Otherwise, everything else will be manual focus, including some pretty cool (and expensive) voigtlander f/0.95 primes.

But really, the Olympus/Panasonic collection should cover pretty much everything you need (at least, once the Olympus 300mm f4 is released later this year).

  • I've got the Sigma ART 60/2.8 and its a cracker. Definitely recommended for the price.
