After a Decent Printer

I'm after a printer , simple question .
It needs to be easy to use , with reasonable specs , something that doesn't cost a fortune to replace cartridges .
Scans , printers , faxes etc , and must be wireless
Any help would be appreciated , looking at spending around the $200-$300 for a decent quality printer .
Thanks in advance

First things first, get a new keyboard with a light that lights up when the Caps Lock button is on.

Do you need lowercase on that printer?

YOU COULD GET AWAY WITH A CRAPPY PRINTER IF YOU PRINT IN CAPITALS ALL THE TIME, EASY TO READ

ITS OK… WE CAN HEAR YOU!! THERE'S NO NEED TO SHOUT.

And what you have asked for is very vague. Almost any, printer these days will do most of that.

Q1. Do you really need the fax capability? Because that will limit your options significantly to more expensive "business/home office" models.

Q2. Second of all, asking for a printer that doesn't cost a fortune to replace cartridges is unhelpful - very large business machines have very expensive cartridges, but they can print for tens of thousands of pages, so the cost per page is very low. Please provide clarification whether low running costs, or low cartridge costs is more important to you.

    Finally, a few more questions:

Q3. Do you have a strong preference for either laser or inkjet?

Q4. Are you happy to buy 3rd party cartridges on eBay to save money? Or do you plan on buying them from office works?

Q5. How soon do you need it?

Q6. Would you consider a refurbished printer?

Q7. Does it have to print double sided?

Q8. Does it have to have a document scanner feed?

  • Check out the Fuji Xerox M225DW. Has everything except the fax.
