Veggie Spiraliser / spiralizer - Recommend me one plz? I want zoodles :)

Pretty simple: want a spiraliser to make zucchini noodles.

There appear to be various types available from my bit of Googling. But which is best? Naturally I seek the experiences and opinions of other OzBargainers to hopefully guide my future purchase.

Have you got one / used one? Any advice on which types to avoid?

Thanksss.

    This one:

Got mine in one of those cheap shops for $20, works brilliantly, 3 blades for noodles or thinner spaghetti veg.

I've tried a couple of the tube ones and they were useless.

You also need good veg, if its a bit past it any of the devices will turn it into mush.

    Cheers

    • Thanks! :D

    • Yep, the tube ones are as good as useless unless your vegies are the exact right diameter.

Yeah, tube one that I've got from Amazon when it was on special has the problem of
        1. leaves the middle bits intact
        2. cannot use the end bits because you cannot spin it
        3. hard to clean

Because of 1 and 2, you end up needing to take your knife out and chop them :(

        • good point..didn't think of that ..

I got one of these free with a recent purchase of a dehydrator - http://shop.rawblend.com.au/8-in-1-raw-slicer-by-raw-blend/ - The price has gone up $10 recently but this thing does veggie noodles. Don't know if I would have paid $50 for it alone (probably not) but since it was a free inclusion I wasn't going to say no. Seems to work ok. I use the Mandolin slicing component most. The Sedona Dehydrator is awesome though :P

    • A food dehydrator is another dream gadget of mine. I'd be making mountains of dried fruit. Drool.
