2015 Mazda 3 touring

Hi guys I got offered $27,900 for 2015 Mazda touring and I'm still unsure if I do actually have a bargain? I haven't actually pay anything….but I have signed the initial contract purchase. Would it be bad to call them to cancel whole thing if the deal isn't that good? Any opinion would be much appreciated. This is my first time getting a new car :)

  • is that the sp25gt? auto or manual?

  • No it's touring auto

    • so it's the 2.0L… has it leather seats?

  • Is there a cooling off period? In contract it will tell you if you have to pay a percentage of cost of car for not going through with it i think.

  • Yeah..I guess you can say it's the top of the 2.0 L range. Yes, it does have leather seats and got it with 12 months rego too. I just don't know if the car worth that price?

    • Drive away prices can vary from state to state so this could be a little misleading without more info from the poster.

    • 2014 plate

  • From a quick research it doesn't seem like a deal/bargain. Average price? Didn't you do research on the car before? Ring up a few different Mazda dealers and tell them the model of car and see what the best price is they would do there and then. May give you a good idea of where you stand. Just a thought. That much money and being a new car i would think perhaps you could get some little extras.

  • +1

You signed. No cooling off period. If you decide to pull out of the contract the dealer is in their rights to charge you 15% of the purchase price (as per conditions on the back).

Maybe next time realise what you're signing and don't do it blindly

Love the negs from people that don't realise it's not just like you can freely pull out of a contract

  • Signed contract and dealer did not want a deposit?
    That is odd…

    • Email/fax, op did a runner?

    • Hmm yes, that is what i was thinking. Don't you leave a deposit and that becomes part of the money you would lose if you don't go through with it. Pretty much standard for most things.

    • Nah , they say they can take deposit when the finance goes through.. And the condition was also subject to finance approval. It's all so confusing.

      • Sounds like you got a slick salesman who was able to get you to sign. Even without the deposit, I'm quite sure you would have received a 'congratulations'.

  • Cheeky bugger- Salesman. Finance is a different story. He got a good deal- Salesman.

  • If you've done the finance paperwork then I think you'll be up for the contract termination fee if you pull out within the cooling-off period. Here's the cooling off clauses in my contract recently for my Mazda 6, https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55801213/CoolingOff.jpg

  • Good deals don't find you, you got to search for them.

The new Mazda 3 is a popular topic in Whirlpool. Look it up and check out what price range is a good deal.

  • Actually just bought a Mazda 3 hatch manual sp25 for $24500 (Vic), but no add-ons. 2015 plates and build. Was the best price by a mile, other dealers wouldn't come near. Now just need to sell a 20yo golf…
Btw used autogenie for the quote. Look it up.

    • +1 for autogenie. Great service and price

    • What dealer did you pick up your SP25 from?
