iPod Touch 32GB for only 210 Delivered? Is This for REAL?

Hi guys, relatively new to OzBargain, ive only posted one deal, and i wasnt sure if i should post this since it could be a scam/fake whatever.

So here is the lowdown, ipod touch 32gb 3rd gen new for 210 delivered.

Seller has 240 feedback, 100% positive.

Seller has sold 42 so far, has over 10 left.

I hesitated to post it as a deal because:
a) its on ebay
b) not as experienced as others here
c) wanted to gauge reaction of those more experienced than me

this is the link, please speculate as to this item's authenticity below, thank you :)

  • Only 7 of the feedback's are feedback as a seller. Just to put that out there. $210 has that too-good-to-be-true awe about it.

    • Oh snap, i didnt notice that. Yeah thats the problem, everyone wants a $210 ipod touch… :( me included :(

  • OMG 51 SOLD less than 36hrs! But I doubt it's brand new & genuine…
Seller didn't even have proper picture to list.

    • Thats another good point. Why do i still want one? Is it because im a dumbass? Is it because i want to believe that this is possible? Or is it because i have absolute faith in PayPal and their ways of refunding you if you are wronged.

hahaha… I was looking at that listing just yesterday and thinking the same thing.
As long as you pay via paypal there is really nothing to worry about (apart from the hassles of lodging a dispute).
In the past I purchased a small quantity of 16gb ipod touches of ebay for $150 each. Needless to say i didnt get them but instead i ended up providing evidence to the seller's local Police station and he is now in jail!!!

i wouldn't waste your time. If you do get them, they are likely to be stolen - so you might not get warranty. Also its a hassle.

If its too good to be true, then it probably is

  • Either fake or stolen. If legit, then a great bargain, but personally I wouldn't buy this. One basic listing with a stock pic, and this seller has sold over $11k worth of iPods! People are so trusting.

  • i would say its a scam, I have seen stuff like this before…Lots of people's accounts get hijacked on ebay..

The user account hasn't had any selling activities for few months and most of the previous selling activities are pretty random…and all the sudden he/she is selling 56 ipods………within 2 days too..

Generally it's too good to be true but people keep biting because every once in a while despite belief, someone grabs a whopper of a bargain.

There is a chance (extremely remote) that the item could be genuine but that is has been stolen, perhaps a large box has been misplaced and stolen and he's come into possession of these and is selling them.

If your heart and head isn't in it, don't risk it :)

  • There's little chance that this is legit. It's a risk I wouldn't take. I'm not even sure you get a standard warranty if the seller isn't an authorised reseller for a start.

If it is legit, who on earth would sell for almost half price? You could ask the seller how they can sell for so low. It'll be interesting what they say. They can't use the standard "unwanted gift" on these ones.
