CrazySales.com.au sold a returned item

I just bought a water pump from crazysales.com.au and they sent an item that had already been returned as water was everywhere. There was also water inside the pump however the outside shipping box was dry, meaning the item was wet when they packaged and sent. I wonder if anyone has a similar experience from this seller and whether they will replace or refund? Should I just use the item? This is my first time purchasing from this website and wondering if anyone else has previous experience with this sort of issue.

  • Have you tried to contact them? Try that first before stressing out

    • Hi

      Thanks for the reply.
Yes I sent an email and received an automatic reply.
I am just wondered if they usually replace or refund in this case, mor they can sell a returned item as if a new as a business as usual.

      Again, I appricate your advise.
      Cheers,

      What a crazy sale.

  • Thanks for the reply
In general buying an item online, is this not acceptable? If they say it works anyway, should I use it?
Wondering if anyone has any experiences with this seller.

    Cheers,

  • I bought a steam mop from oo.com.au once and it arrived with some water inside it. There were several other reports of the same thing. I emailed oo.com.au and asked them about it and they said that they test each of those products before shipping them to make sure they work. Perhaps something similar has happened in your case?

    • Hi

      Thanks for the comment.
I didn't know some company tests every item before they ship and like this seller, one of large companies online can afford to do it before shipping. If they have to test I expect they mention it in the ad as a caution I guess.
I purchased a washing machine delivered by Good guys and it had a poder drawer wet, and they kindly sent a new one without asking any. It could have been a display model or returned one. I am guessing this seller just sell without adding the cost of testing every item they ship. see the product link in below.

I can't see any clause that theirnproduct may be wet when we opened.

Again, thanks for reading and posting ng your advise.

      Cheers,

    • By the way, I happend to learn that other seller also selling the same product in eBay which seems to be popular (over 1800 sold). I can't imagine that they will test every item befor shipping.

  • Hi A4classic,

Thanks for your feedback, and we appreciate you bought from crazysales.com.au.

Our manufacturer tests the item before ship out, making sure it works well and sometimes the product may contain water inside.

    • Yeah who would believe this shit?

I buy pumps for my fishes and stuff all the new pumps I bought were factory fresh.

    • Clearly the bullshit pump is working just fine.

  • Thanks for the posts folks,
Crazysales.com.au offered $50 refund because there are some damages on the pump such as painting off, dent etc. I had to wait the offer before connecting it to my tank and the communication wasn't easy.
Still awaiting rain to test the pump.
I learnt a lesson that I will use eBay rathe than their website.

    Cheers,
