Thanks everyone for the feedback. Will update it now.

    • I think I was more reasonable ;)

  • Shipping is $9.90 for me. Not really a deal.

  • don't know why anyone would bother with leds that give off the same light per watt as cfls at 60 lm/w

    • Lasts longer too if the claimed number of hours is to be believed.

      • The LED itself will typically last far longer (or at least be rated for longer) than the controller/power board. IIRC, the claimed number of hours is generally based on the LED and not actual testing of the whole device. A lot of cheaper LED-based lights tend to die unusually quickly because the cheap power board goes out.

The LED will also dim as it ages, but CFLs do that too.

  • Overstocked but still $9ea+shipping..
    How about $9+ free shipping

  • no deal. local stock is $4.50 each on ebay plus $8 delivery or free pickup.

$14.89 shipped from Sydney after a quick search on ebay.

  • That's not the same, it's a no name. My comparison is the exact same product.

  • Back in my day, these guys made very expensive floppy disks. Interesting to see that they've branched out. I was wondering what they've been up to. I know they still make some cheap but poor USB sticks and portable HDDs, and blank DVDs, but they've lost that Apple style premium branding.
