Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook (8GB RAM, SSD, i5 5th Gen) for $1,199 @ Dell Outlet

There wasn't sufficient quantity (4 or 5) for this deal so i thought i might share it on the forum instead, since i already went to the effort of making a post

Noticed the XPS refurbs don't seem to last long.

Theres about 4 or 5 of these XPS 13s and some other XPS systems if anyone is interested

  • i like the 12" because it is touch screen but sadly no sdcard and hdmi.
    how about those 13"?

    • i think only the xps 15 has a touch screen (there is one on the list) - at least i am pretty sure none of the XPS 13s on this list have one.

      • good one but way too expensive for me.

  • Can you use discount codes with Dell Outlet?

    • I don't think so.

You can always try to haggle more of a deal with the representative though

  • I hesitate when you mention

Noticed the XPS refurbs don't seem to last long.

Do you mean the stock will sell out quickly, or these notebooks are unreliable?

If you mean the latter, can any refurb Dell owners shed some light on the reliability of refurb Dell?

    Thanks!

    • I think he meant the stock will go out very fast. On the reliability itself, for the past 1-2 years, I have bought 1 refurb monitor, 1 refurb alienware, 1 refurb latitude and 2 As new inspiron from their outlet. It was for family and so far haven't heard of any issues. Their refurb is simply like new.
The alienware was for myself (1K for i5 5200u/gtx 960m/256gb m.2 ssd/8gb ram/13" fhd). I got issue with minor gap on screen bezel vs screen. I had a chat with their rep and in 2 days they came and replaced the part. Top service!

    • The refubs are well regarded. As matabuntu said they go fast (considering the manual inspection required to check the site etc and not many people look at it) - there only seems to be 1 of the XPS 13s left now

  • 1199 is a great price for the 8/256 gb configuration, especially with the lower Aussie dollar don't see as big discounts these days…
Wonder how minor is their "minor cosmetic wear"

    • $1,199 is a great price for the 4/128 i5 configuration, which is the one I got with the 20% deal late last month. For 8/256 configuration this is simply an increadible price!

  • 8gb once are gone :(

    • Interesting, i wonder if the 4gb one left is a typo as it seemed to be the same as the others except for the memory (including the same price, normally thought it'd be cheaper)

You can always try chatting with a dell agent to clarify

      • thx, will try nnow :)

  • Ah, so sad I didn't see this a couple of days ago. Would have loved one of the XPS13 machines with the i5 and 8GB/256GB.
