Plasti Dip and Vinyl Wrappings for Laptops

I've been thinking of getting Matte black Vinyl wrapping around the laptops keyboard area.
Mainly hoping it would have a nice smooth rubbery feel, but most importantly to not to, feel cold to touch like metal, as it is currently.

So wondering what's your experience, if any with Plasti Dip or Vinyl wrapping, with computers/components?
Along with any recommendations that you might have.

Thanks

  • make sure it doesn't affect how the laptop closes/ open

make sure it doesn't over heat the laptop by covering ventilation holes / retaining extra heat

to be honest… how cold can a laptop get…

    • Thanks,
      Opening/closing, and vents won't be a problem.

As for coldness, it's about 4c-7c. Pretty much like touching cold metal.

I don't think plasti dip will give you a smooth rubbery finish…. I mean it will be ok, but not ultra smooth. I plasti dipped my car rims and it is great but not something for the laptop. the surface is a bit hard to keep perfectly clean, good enough for car rims, but not for a good looking laptop. A vinyl wrap on the other hand sounds like a smooth finish that can be wiped down easily enough.
