Buying a PS Vita and download games onto it

I am currently contemplating buying a PS Vita and, being the OzBargainer that I am, I am wondering if there are any ways which I can play PSP games as well as Vita games for free (sort of like the R4 for DS). I am new to handheld systems so I have no idea how these things work.

    PSP games yes, Vita games no.

    Yeah they haven't cracked it yet.
    You might want to get a 3DS instead if you want a modern handheld system that works with backups.

        It's a great little console, games are not expensive for it either if you keep an eye on the digital sales that are often going on.

          get a dsi or 3ds if you want 'free' games
