Converting Natural Gas Heater to LPG

Have a natural gas heater but dont have natural gas connection at the new place.

Has anyone here converted natural gas heaters to lpg or vice versa? Is it just about buying a coversion kit? Is it easy and cost effective or should I not bother?

Thanks

I dont know much about gas heater, but accoding to binglee staff,

some gas heater can use both on LPG and LNG, and their all products can use on both type of gas.

Probably you should check at first your gas heater is compatible with LPG.

The rennai service centre in Western Sydney did it for us for cheap. It was ages ago, so can't even remember the cost.

You get a new sticker on the back too, so that's a plus

they did it on house rules, WA episode

they got a small converter and that was about it….. not sure if I trust everything from telly though!

interesting will look it up. But besides changing the jets, I also read that the airpressure needs to be calibrated and controlled as LPG has a much higher pressure than NG

Thought about finding out how much a gas connection is instead? More long-term

I believe it requires changing the jets and possibly a regulator. Both are pretty minor. Converting the other way was a $50 job (admittedly, quite a few years ago).
