Rhinoplasty (Nose Job) in Thailand

I've been toying around for years with the idea of a nose job in Thailand. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas or experience?

Might be a few who can comment on head jobs in Thailand

When I was in Phuket last there was a ton of billboards advertising plastic surgery. I'd seek out a medical tourism forum for suggestions (Im guessing they exist)

  • I read NIB was starting to arrange medical tourism with Thai partners. Looks like they do a lot of things but they don't do rhinoplasty. http://www.nib.com.au/nib-options/procedures I wonder why. Too risky?

I would make sure you look very thoroughly into appropriate travel insurance. I imagine most don't cover medical tourism.

  • Quite a few of my friends, colleagues & clients have had assorted procedures done at Bumrungrad Hospital…some of whom work here in health related fields, so they know what they're on about…they all speak very highly of their experiences at Bumrungrad, none ever mentioned any particular caveats.

    • Just don't eat their food.

      (Bum run…)

  • I smell trouble.

Jokes aside, I'd take the advise of NIB as stated above.

  • If the question is still relevant, you may search more about Preecha Aesthetic Institute in Bangkok. They charge around AUD6,000 for a total nasal surgery and something like AUD1,800 for a nose augmentation and alarplasty including medication and post-op care. You can check this link to see more http://imedicaltourismcenter.com/hospitals/preecha-aesthetic… However, some prefer plastic surgery clinics in Phuket because of its southern location (surgery+vacation). As a health travel adviser, I would recommend you to 1. Inquire before/after photos, 2. Dig into your surgeon's bio, 3. Ask the clinic you choose about the nursing services (some hospitals have a separate bill for that), and 4. You may want to pay in cash (some hospitals have extra charge 3% if you pay with your credit card). So, stay safe and good luck in your search!
