If you don't like the product for sale, the back button is at the top left of your browser mate.

It is a bargain for the model, just not the best GoPro available.

      • If you want waterproof without an extra case, it is the best model? :)

  • Can anyone comment between this and the Xiaomi micamera?

I was going to get the Xiaomi due to it being so much cheaper than the GoPro offerings but this is bringing it close, despite not having a replaceable battery so I can record lots of stuff on the go.

    • I was going for the xiaomi also, but the underwater ability should prove more useful in my next travels.

      Xiaomi yi
      + cheaper
+ image is sharper, better white balance (imo)
+ Bitrate has been increased via custom FW to 35mbps (vs 15mbps on the hero @ 1080p 30)
      + 1080p 60fps
      + uses gopro mounts

      • waterproof cover not included (still cheaper overall though)
      • not as polished as the hero, xiaomi's response to issues like out of focus lenses, bricked devices due to fw upgrades, weak mics was to follow the diy guides posted by users and open the damn thing yourself and fix it. Frankly they give 0 sh*ts about after sale support.

      Hero
+ better overall experience, less issues than the yi
+ lots of community support due to being "the" brand

      • inbuilt battery, no good if you're around the water
      • what happens if you break the mount? It's stuck in the camera

Personally I'd go for the yi, after all the fiddling and tweaking imo it shoots better videos from the samples I've seen.
