It took us 9 days which wasn't too strenuous, averaged just over 400km a day. Longest days were Dubbo to Broken Hill and Nullarbor to Albany, both of which were about 9hrs of driving. We ended up just sleeping on our mattress topper which is about 2 inches of foam. We have 3 of those oztent air mattresses but they are such a pain to roll back up that it would not have worked with moving everyday.

What did you sleep on in the tent? I know when we go camping I reckon air beds are a hassle.
