Is 6 Weeks a Reasonable Time for a Delivery of a Kid's Bed? Beds N Dreams Nunawading

Hi all

I purchased a bunk bed for my daughter at Beds n Dreams Nunawading back in 30th of May 2015, i was promised that the bed will be delivery within 2 weeks from their Sydney warehouse.
After 3 weeks with no calls from them, i rang up and they said its not ready for another week.

I rang up again the next week because i didn't get any call from them (could have at least give me a courtesy call) and i was told another bllsht.

Anyway, after many phone calls, now the bed is ready to be deliver and that's is exactly 6 weeks from the purchased date.

This is a total BS from them. I have a feeling that they only raise the order to their China manufacturer once i've placed my order with them.

Some websites, if not most, do claim up to 6 weeks delivery time. If you were promised delivery within 2 weeks what were the condition if that promise is not met? For example a discount on the purchase? Otherwise they are just telling you a quick sales lie.

You don't have to suspect. They did raise the order to their manufacturer in China or somewhere else once they have received your payment. Otherwise the delivery time could be within a week and not 6 weeks. I bought my kid's bunk bed last month direct from the factory that imported it from their manufacturer in China. We arranged for a truck and picked it up the very next day.

  • Yes i was promised 2 weeks.

I spoke to the manager and he blames it on this supplier. I said what your supplier promised you is not my problem, my problem is what you promised me and you couldn't deliver.

    • Sounded like one lie after another. Worst of all they play the ignore game in between.
