Gym Membership from $5.95 ($7.14 Effective) Per Week No Contract @ Crunch Fitness [Mentone, VIC]

30

Scheduled Opening for September

Another site for this interesting American chain in their venture south from NSW after opening at Highpoint in March.
Taking up half of the Super A-Mart (a former Bunnings Warehouse) building on Nepean Highway.
$5.95 a week for 'Base' membership which doesn't include free classes, or $10.95 for 'Peak' which includes classes, access to other clubs and the ability to bring a friend with you for free.

There is a $25 enrollment fee if you enrol online, and the membership fees are charged a month in advance.
There is an additional $1 fortnightly debit fee, and a quarterly $8.95 'upkeep' fee charged in February, May, August and November, making the weekly fee effectively $7.14 for base membership and $12.14 for peak membership. The complexity may put you off but it's probably not unusual for gyms - I'm just trying to make it completely clear (full terms).

These rates will probably go up by $1 a week at or after opening. I expect continuously weekly fees won't be charged until it's open.

There is a small information and enrolment office in the car park of Super A-Mart in front of the site at 3-23 Nepean Highway, Mentone.

  • Peak membership allows you to bring a guest every time. If you have a gym partner essentially means you can get 2 for the price of 1. (Haven't read full T&C's though)

  • I am a member of Crunch at Mortdale in Sydney, I chose Peak membership because it lets you bring a guest for free, take any class for free, and use any Crunch location. The base membership is just you using one club, but is still good value.

  • Looks like Google thought this deal was too good to be true.

    • what do you mean?

      • The thumbnail is Google's "suspicious page" warning. Just a joke!
