  • There was a free trial of this posted a few weeks back, i've seen two people post this $5 ad since then.

    • I think the difference is that this offer includes the high demand (premium) titles, whereas the free offer didn't- can anyone confirm this?

  • Just make sure your household hasn't had a free trial before, or you will be automatically billed without warning.

  • thx 4 share, here is the link without promote code

    https://www.quickflix.com.au/secureencryptedsignup/signupste…?

  • so they have 14days free, 1 month $1, and now 2months $5….interesting

    • from me as it's still a decent deal, but It's not really a Quickflix 'free' trial if it costs $5 though, is it?

Just a word of warning though, I've been a member of quickflix for about 6 months now and every month I remind myself to ring and cancel my membership as I can never seem to get the movies I want, always seem to be either on 'short' or 'long' wait lists.
I could head down to my local and more often than not pick them up that night, little more effort but at least I'll see the movies I want without having to wait 3 months.
That's why a trial is good, I just wish they'd have a system in place on the website to cancel my subscription rather than having to deal with a call centre.

    • What does the cancel subscription page do? I've never tried it but if gives you an option…

      • I've tried. You select unsubscribe and it brings up the following message:

        Please contact us
To Cancel your membership, please contact Member Care on 1300 138 644 between the hours of 9:30am and 7:30pm AEST and 6:30am and 4:30pm AWST, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

This is no doubt to put the hard sell on you to keep your membership.
Their stock levels are very average for blu-ray. I have had around 10 in my que for at least 2 months and they've always been short/long wait.

My suggestion, if you have access to one, make use of your local video store. They won't charge you for waiting for the movies you want to watch to be returned.

  • What does all this "Month 1 of 2" and "Month 2 of 2" mean:

Your Quickflix 2 months of Unlimited DVD rentals, 2 DVDs at a time for $5 (Month 1 of 2) plan will begin after the registration process, as soon as titles have been added to your Queue. Your membership can be cancelled at any time during your trial via your Quickflix accounts page. If you are enjoying Quickflix, do nothing and your membership will automatically continue at the monthly plan of 2 months of Unlimited DVD rentals, 2 DVDs at a time (Month 2 of 2).

I don't want to get the first month for $5 and then the second as part of a two month full registration.

I don't mind having to cancel sometime in the second month? Or do I have to cancel in the first month?

What's with "continue at the monthly plan of 2 months of Unlimited DVD rentals"? monthly plan of 2 months?

    Thanks,
    Ashley.

  • Hi guys, Gerard from Quickflix here.

Just thought I'd drop in with some info re the questions above.

The offer is $5 for two months of unlimited movie rentals, and it works by paying $5 for the first month, and you get the second month free (hence the wording at the bottom of the page MrHatKen is referring to).

You get access to premium content with through the link above too, unlike a number of free trial offers.

The offer is only available to first time users and you can cancel at any time during the two months.

    Cheers guys.

    • Hi Gerard,

Thank you for your post. The wording could have been a bit better but it's a great offer. I've wanted to try Quickflix and this has given me the motivation to check it out. I've also spread the word with friends and colleagues.

      Cheers,
      Ashley.

    • Hi Gerard. I sent a query last week via the Quickflix webpage "contact" email link as to whether I could join by this offer and still use a Panasonic voucher that I am awaiting (which may take another month). No reply received as yet. Does a real person actually recieve, read and respond to emails via that link?

      • Reply received thanks. All OK.

  • Anyone know if I can rent bluray with this offer?
