Decent Dash Cam, Possibly 2

Seeking a reasonable quality day/night dash camera, preferable shipping from Australia and <$100. Was looking at the G1W-C but the night recording seems lacking?

Also wondering if anyone has had experience with a dual setup where the unit has an additional input for a rear camera, or if it is better to just buy 2x standalone cams.

Cheers

It used to be that 2 single cams was a better option than any of the dual setups but that might have changed in the months since I stopped paying attention.

Personally I have 3 G1W-C running in my car (front, back and interior/side). They're good enough that nothing has quite tempted me to upgrade yet but if I was buying today I would look for something with better night video. You won't get that without paying significantly more because anything close to this price will use the same or worse chipset and sensor (again, unless there has been a drastic change in the past few months).

  • Just found the K1S cam that utilises a separate DVR which is what I was looking for in a 2 cam setup. Only downside is it costs around $350 plus the SD card. Anyone else found anything similar?
