Need Tablet and 3G Data Deal

Hi Guys,

I need the following:

1) A Decent tablet (such as SAMSUNG Galaxy TAB S 10.5).
2) Will consider anything high quality, good battery life, HD etc. Must be able to support 3G sim card so I don't need to 'tether it'.
3) A data only sim card, preferably Telstra as in WA, Telstra Network woorks in the country more than Optus.

Any thoughts?

I am happy to buy bundled or separately.

  If it is 3G data only, I think ALDI has some cheap data only plans. $30 for 3GB for 30 days and they use Telstra network… might have cheaper alternatives but I know Boost, ALDI and Telechoice use the Telstra Network and ALDI is the only one of the three to have data only.

  Do you have a budget for the tablet? I know TAB S 2 is coming out sometime this year, if you can wait, you might be able to get a TAB S deal during clearance or something.

    Thanks for that. My budget for the tablet is around the $500 to $600 mark, but always looking for a deal.

    Also, my preference is to find a data plan, where I can leave it idle for a few months at a time and 'recharge' the data when I can see a need coming up (for example when I will travel, which happens 2 - 4 times per year).

      Just noticed that Telstra charges the same for a sim only prepaid data plans. There is one for $50 for 5GB for 365 days, worth checking out.
