All depends on what needs to be done. Other than the traditional 'braces', there are other cheaper, less invasive procedures (e.g. Invisalign). Get a referral from your dentist to see some orthodontists for some quotes. Most orthodontists will have a payment plan, and check how the payment plan works with your health insurance policy (e.g. annual limit? calendar year or financial year?)
My last piece of advice is have the teeth looked at by the ortho ASAP rather than later.
