Seems like the local cheap 32gb DDR4 kits are drying up quickly…

At around $65 per 8gb stick.. seems a pretty good deal with the Aussie dollar falling and skylake coming soon…

These clock at 2133. Not a bad deal esp. with the AUD.

  • Crucial DDR4

    I'd say 'Optional'

    • that made me laugh.

    • a PC will not function without RAM. Therefore Crucial is correct.

      • Mine works fine without DDR4…

that's because you are from the 19th century, JV

  • Sounds interesting. Can I buy a futures contract instead, and group shipping it with the Skylake CPU and motherboard when they come out, to reduce the shipping cost a bit? ;)

  • awesome deal with best timing, i was thinking to buy from MSY for $360 (8gb*4) now going for this. million thanks op

  • I thought there would be Skylake motherboards that support DDR3?

    • +1

Most Skylake motherboards will only support ddr4.

      http://www.kitguru.net/components/cpu/anton-shilov/intel-bid…

As some comments on kit guru pointed out, ddr4 prices will eventually hit the equilibrium when they reach full market saturation, and expect them to be no more expensive than DDR3. There's no need to rush and buy ddr4 before you even have a device that supports it.

  • Think we will see local drops similar price points when i7-7600 comes out Aug 5th?

    Nice deal!

Had my 32GB since about 2011, almost time to upgrade and get 64GB :)

    • +2

Please link your mainboard with 8 DDR4 memory slots.

DDR4 was not out in 2011, no-where did I mention anything at all about owning a Mobo with DDR4. What I did say was it's "almost time to upgrade" for my next machine I'd like to "get 64GB" of memory, so I'm uncertain if you're asking for a link to my Mobo & it's 32GB of memory or a link to a Mobo I'm about to buy which can take (8)*DD4 memory sticks?

I assume it's this Rampage V Extreme x99 which is in on the fence to be my next purchase and has 8 slots for DD4 memory you require. They're also a decent price, can pick one up for about $800+/-

You are full of shit…in addition to being a troll…

        • @KaTst3R:
That's a repulsive comment to make after I've just gone to the trouble of offering a link to a Mobo with 8 slots of DDR4 for another member, especially since you can't even be bothered to say which part you don't believe. I have no idea wtf your even doing leaving a comment since it was Lukian who asked the question.

Seriously, when prospective new users are viewing this site how do you think that type of nasty antagonistic comment helps it's reputation.

        • @Ebany:

Right….you could have just linked Lukian the x99 and be the hero of the day. Yet you decided to include all your condescending bullcrap as your opening statement and as such, the downvotes. We will call out a troll when we smell one, and you reek real bad.

        • @KaTst3R:
Actually Lukian was the one been condescending which is why you down-voted my first comment and up-voted his. At first I had no intention of responding to such a comment, especially once fools like you had started the down-vote process, but I offered a valid URL on the off chance he was actually serious and had simply made a typo when asking "link your mainboard".

Obviously now I've had no response from him I know it was an attack, much like yours, so I regret attempting to help. Either way, your a repulsive individual and a fine example of the toxic contribution eating away at this sites reputation, please don't talk to me any-more.

  • DDR4 = no noticeable difference in everyday computing/gaming. Great for power users. :D

    • Very true. I find memory most important when running CAD or Solidworks, it all add's up to make a better working experience :)

      • Love solidworks. :D

        • Same. I don't mind CAD but find Solidworks faster to use for most projects, it's my favourite when given a choice.
