2015 CMAS Underwater Rugby World Cup!

Hey guys

Underwater rugby (UWR) is still an obscure sport in Australia, but there is an Australian team at the 2015 WC in Colombia right now! There are a few OzBargainers (myself included) that play this wacky sport and one of the guys on the national team purports to be an OzBargainer but refuses to reveal his username.

    Is the NZ team called All Wets?
    Do they do the hakka under water?

    NZ is in the process of building up the sport, and if they manage to do the hakka underwater that'll be pretty cool!

    Great photos ! I used to play UWH in the '80s& 90's and sometimes we played a wonky version of UHR during the off season. We really only had two rules - 1. Get the ball in the goal and 2. stop tackling when the player drops or passes the ball.
    Fun times, Wishing I still played!

      The womens team look mighty fine.
      There's an UWR team in Melbourne that trains at the Vic Centre :)

    Underwater rugby is one of the most extraordinary sports to exist, and all OzBargainers are encouraged to give it a try!
