NFL Afficinados - best way to buy Gamepass this year?

Anyone found the cheapest way to buy the NFL Gamepass this year? Promo codes/VPNs to buy it?

I know its a month and a bit our from regular season, but I'm keen to get on early and watch some of last seasons games/this years pre-season. Better than watching Carlton get flogged by another 20 goals on a Friday night.

  • Waiting on a code myself. Just a tad too expensive this year, and there seems to be no option to just get NFL Network.

    • If you just want NFL network, it's called NFL now on AppleTv and mobile.

For GamePass, there are rumors a 15% code will come out soon but nothing yet. Best you can do is sign up via vpn from Romania or Ireland. I hear that comes in at us$130 but haven't confirmed. There's some good info on reddit. Problem with vpn, you need to login through that country too. Not sure if I could login from Romania then change myself back to Aus, but will check it out.

  • Thanks Bozman but 'NFL Now' only has small excerpts from NFL Network. At least the Android and Browser versions, I can't test Apple devices. There was a new ad/message today saying they are replacing NFL Now app with something else anyway, perhaps they are parting ways with Verizon who run NFL Now on mobile devices. It is nice for things like Undrafted and other content, which even Season Plus Gamepass doesn't let you access unless you happen to catch it on NFL Network live.

What I do like to watch is pre-season stuff, which NFL Network does fairly well, but I'm not paying an arm and a leg for it.

    There's typically been a 15% code, I got that last year about this time, for the full blown subscription, with a considerably better exchange rate;
    16 - Aug 19 - Aug NEULION/NFL PRODUCT ####### NY 182.74 AUD Rate: 1.000000

Not sure I will spring for $260 - 15% even this year, might just take whatever 7Mate dishes up and perhaps get a Packers team pass. 7Mate had pretty much every final didn't they?

  • BTW Romania and Ireland are USD$200/160/130 depending on package, so they're not offering discounts in those countries, or perhaps are detecting VPNs.
    Your IPv4 Address Is:
    80.93.29.238
    Country: Ireland

Actually Netherlands is US$270/200/170 so they pay more. Perhaps there is a cheaper country too, but don't think my VPN bandwidth would cope very well if you had to stay connected.

  • Anyone get a code yet? A friend said he was told India was cheap, but were both not that clued in on what that means. Bought it straight up last year and was hoping to get some discount since USD/AUD is so bad.

So, if anyone can help with these questions I'd really appreciate it.
    - If you buy from another country do you need a vpn?
    - Then if you are watching you must always use a vpn?
    - Does this then mean I can't use my gamepass while not at home? i.e. mobile, public places…..Work.

    • All else fails, any codes about?
  • Gah. i've just shelled out for it as I'm planning on preseason games tonight. Bought it with no VPN, but paying using Brazillian Reals - Full Season Plus for $238.

$56 more than last season for the same thing, but what am I going to do.. watch 7mates pathetic attempt at covering it?

  • Like Tizey said, simply selecting Reals you get a much better exchange rate - actually the AU$ exchange rate is decent as far as the NFL offer goes, 78.4 vs the current 73.4 - the Real is 3.48 to the US$ , which should mean the full package is BRL$695.96 but it's BRL$609.99, which is A$238 as Tizey said. You do need a good exchange rate CC though, like 28degrees Citi etc, other banks like ANZ/Commbank/etc will murder you on exchange rate plus fees.

I've not found anywhere through a VPN cheaper. Even a 10% discount code and I'd jump on it. Preseason is pretty rubbish, likely you will see only one series from the starters. I've been catching up on the NFL Now content to amuse myself. Wish I could sub just to NFL Network like previous years :(

Oh, the VPN questions, previously it's only really worked for the NBA as far as much of a discount, and with that you only needed to sign up with a VPN, after that they treat most international streams the same ie. as long as you're not in a blackout country (AU isn't one) you can watch without a VPN.
