New Head Unit Problems

It's unbranded 7inc single din headunit..When my head unit arrived i gave it a try to see if it works and it was fine for 20 minutes and then just the welcome screen appears but it doesn't start up that's all it does, comes up to welcome screen and it restarts, i tried to reset it but that didn't work (i am not sure if the reset button works tho as its behind the front panel), fuse is not the problem here as i checked it.. what could it be? :)

  • sounds like it is stuck in a boot loop may need to go back to where you got it.

    • It says ERISIN on the picture, but nothing on the actual head unit.

      • Alright well I suggest contacting the seller as they advertise a 30 day guarantee and a 2 year warranty. (Assuming it is the same seller ?)
        Hopefully you paid with PayPal…

        • Yea that's what he says, i already contacted him, he haven't responded yet but he should tomorrow if not i am opening a case and will never buy from him as i made an offer to him to send me the Unit with the WiFi USB Dongle for the buy it now price and he accepted but there was no WiFi USB Dongle in the package…

          Then you already have a reason to raise a case but as a eBay seller myself we all make mistakes so give him a chance to rectify it.

          If you contacted him after 6pm on Friday though it'd be reasonable to give him till Wednesday to respond.

          If he doesn't respond by 6pm Wednesday open a case.

  • See if you can figure out what it's running. If you're lucky, it will be an Android one that you can probably troubleshoot with Google

    • Operation System is Microsoft Windows CE.NET 6.0

  • think it may be a faulty unit i would be contacting seller for a replacement or refund.
    Going through the feedback i see a couple of faulty ones.
