How to Become The Most Successful Entrepreneur!

Hi all,

Just wondering, why is Mark Zuckerberg one of the most successful entrepreneurs ? Of course, he is very Smart, Innovative , a lot of ideas etc.
I believe that the other co-founders of Facebook like Dustin Moskovitz, Chris Hughes and Andrew McCollum are also smart, innovative etc…. They actually played very important role for the successful Facebook in the early days.
All of the other co-founders are no longer at Facebook for one reason or another and now Facebook is getting bigger and more powerful. With the launch of internet.org, it is also indirectly helping Facebook to grow faster!
What about Friendster, MySpace etc!! They no longer exist!

Would the answer of the question above is purely Luck, Karma and opportunity (right person at the right time)?

Care to discuss?

Thank you.

  • I think the best entrepreneurs are innovators (and/or great leaders and drivers of innovation) who provide something that's a genuine improvement on what's out there.

Unlike the Social Network movie suggests, apparently Zuckerberg always had it in mind to create a more efficient way of communicating, than to send out emails attaching photos.

Right now I think Elon Musk is definitely an entrepreneur and innovator to watch. He is leading the way with making electric cars that are a very attractive alternative to petrol cars. If Musk can succeed with the Tesla model 3 then I think we can expect to see petrol cars becoming obsolete after just a few decades.

He also has a multi-billion dollar rocket company, SpaceX, which is already making massive strides toward reducing the cost of space travel. He has a vision for humans to be a multi-planet species.

We can laugh now but he has certainly put himself in an excellent position to pull it off.

  • Being a successful entrepreneur is a combination of luck and effort. The less luck you have, the more effort you have to put in to make up for it.

Perhaps the best sort of luck you can have is to be born into a rich/upper-class family, where you are raised well by your family, and your talents and education nurtured. For example, as talented and smart as Bill Gates is, he didn't exactly go from rags to riches. A short browse of his Wikipedia page shows that his direct family consists of lawyers, board members and bank presidents. Another example is Gina Rinehart. Also lucky enough to be born from a rich (mining-magnate) father, the only difference her and Gates is that she has no talent and is evil.

The advantages of being born into a rich family cannot be overstated. Being rich means you can reach your full potential because you don't need to worry about whether you will be having dinner tonight or whether you can meet your rent payments, having rich parents also means that you have free 0% interest financial support so that not only you can afford to take on risk but you can also afford to take on MORE risk (higher risk, higher rewards). For the average pleb, if you take on risk and you lose the bet, your life is basically over.

Now, I'm not saying it is impossible for a child living in a lower class ghetto, born from a crackwhore mother and a father who spends more time in prison than home, to reach their full potential ("Become The Most Successful Entrepreneur"). I am just saying it is extremely unlikely.

Poverty (usually) breeds poverty. More money makes even more money.

  • I could not agree more. I need to point out that Gina has a redeeming quality, she surrounds her self with intelligent peoplle. No jokes about the vaccum….
