Bold Text Conspiracy - Why are the forums not as BOLD

I'm not sure if anyone else has noted but comments in the Forum seem to have less bolding of words than one sees in comments posted about deals.

I was wondering what the reason for this was?

Is it simply that forum topics are less heated then deals?

Any theories?

I think JV has popularised the use of bold text and he posts in deals more than the forum.

    No idea. He comments on almost every deal so it's gotten to the point where people intentionally impersonate his comments.

      Since JV almosts always posts for satire, I reckon all of his/her posts should be rendered in comic sans. And everytime he uses the bold markdown syntax it should be replaced with the <blink> tag instead.
