Which One Should I Buy Fujifilm X100T or X-Pro1

Hi guys, bit of a conundrum.

I'm hoping to dip my feet into the mirrorless and Fujifilm life, but on a slight budget. I've got two second hand offers so far:
1. a fujifilm x100T for $1000 bought in May but the owner doesn't have the original receipt
2. a fujifilm xPro1 + 27mm 2.8 pancake lens for $650 but is about 15 months old (so definitely no warranty)

The problem I have is that fujifilm warranty T&Cs state if I ever need to make a warranty claim for the x100T, i'll need the original receipt, which I won't have because the original owner doesn't have it.

Which one do I buy? Do I buy the x100T for 350$ more hoping it doesn't shit itself? Or do I go the cheaper option of $650 knowing there's no warranty anyway?

Thoughts?

  • I gather you're locked into fujifilm?

I had a look on dirt cheap cameras, chose the first mirrorless canon camera and it's half the price with same pixels + sensor size

    • Nah, not interested in canon. As far as the mirrorless category goes, Canon and Nikon are way behind Sony and Fujifilm.

  • I too was tossing up between the X100T and Xpro1, then in the end decided on going with an XE2 because:

    • X100T is a fixed lens and I wanted to have a choice of lens (depends on your style but it wasn't for me)
    • XPro1 is a few years old now (and still pretty good), but one of my main reasons for mirroless was size and XE2 was smaller (didnt care for the OVF)
