Hi fellow Ozbargainers I just noted this update on ebay front page. As title says now Ebay & Paypal are separate companies does that going to make any difference in deals we are getting through them???

It's probably to make it seem less evil when they gouge multiple levels of fees from sellers. Now they can't be accused of being underhanded because they're the same company.
However, I don't believe it will make a scrap of difference. They once operated like this, then made a big deal of joining together. Now they're splitting up. In the end, I think they'll still continue to get their cuts, so they don't care.
