Samsung Galaxy S5 warranty claim?

Hey guys,

I just received my brand new phone from Optus a couple of days ago and I'm loving it. However I just realized that there seems to be an issue with the volume up button on the left side of the device.

The button feels very mushy and doesn't give the tactile feedback that all the other buttons do. The button still works, it's just that you have to press harder and you can't feel it click like you would expect a normal button to do. I've only had the phone for 2 days now and I was wondering if you think that I would be able to claim warranty on such a small issue?

I haven't dropped my phone or anything and apart from this there is nothing wrong with it. It's just slightly irritating as it is quite difficult to turn up the volume of my music while it is in my pocket.

Let me know if you guys need anymore information and thanks in advance!

Have you tried taking it back to Optus? They should look after you. If they find a fault in the early days of a phones life, they often replace it with a new one.

  • Hey OP. What was the outcome with your faulty mobile.
