Do you mean 2016 or is this a deal for time traveling?

Edit: you've fixed it now ;-)

    • No need to be so pithy you pedant.

Air India has a patchy safety record but that's usually with old airliners. They fly 787 dreamliners on this route.

New Delhi is not a bad airport to transit in at all. It's not Changi of course, but quite similar to other Asian airports.

    Quite a bargain!

I prefer to eat seated too…

The airport terminals were built and refurbished in time for the 2010 Commonwealth Games so are very nice and modern.

    • I flew Hyderabad to Bengaluru (Bangalore) 2 years ago on Air India and the plane was filthy, made a lot sounds you wouldn't expect and on take-off an landing it rattled like a a hundred people simultaneously playing Boggle! Knowing what to expect, I didn't look forward to the return flight…
Having said that, it was a domestic flight so as Scynaz said, maybe their international planes are better?…I wouldn't take the risk though! Mad Air Asia look like 1st class on Etihad.

Air India has a tendency to fly a week after you were supposed to. Pay the extra $100 and do yourself a favour.

  • The link that comes up says that's a 41 hour trip one way! A 20 hour overnight transit wait in New Delhi.

Given the converted price of $1321, it's cheap, but not really a bargain.

For the QF combo it's about another $180 on top and still 31 hours for the return with KLM and Garuda. Also, can't even get much value from FF benefits, given all the programs.

Better to spend the probably $100 or so on top of that, get shorter flights and better connections (and quite possibly a better luggage allowance), and a single program to be credited to.

    $1321 for Air India???

I paid $12XX for Emirates/Etihad Combo Melbourne to Paris return in Nov-Dec

    • How were you able to find such deal?
Should I start a private conversation with you?
      Thank you!

Some of their flights have rats issue, also pilots with fake certificate…

    • Correct on both counts….

  • They were bad but in my experience they have got better and recently read some news about them acquiring some new fleet so may it's not that bad. I haven't checked the link and what aircraft just saying about my experience.

Can you stop over in Delhi for a few weeks? If so that is a good price as a return trip to Delhi costs about $1,100 on Air India.

  • And all on 787's! Perfect for Eurovision!
