Hi bargain hunter,
I'm after a desktop with i7 processor and atleast 24GB memory, not for gaming…i want to virtualize. 6 weeks back Dell XPS8700(http://www.dell.com/au/p/xps-8700/pd?oc=y210492au&model_id=x…) was on 30% off sale and last week it was $300 off. but today the price is back to $2199.
How often does dell run 30% off sale? not sure if I should wait for next sale week?
Any suggestions? or any discount coupons?

SHAW DF2 case with PSU.
eeeew. Stay clear away from this custom build, SHAW makes terrible stuff. The main issue you'll find with this case is the lack of good ventilation (weak exhaust) and there's also no cable management holes, and no space behind the MB tray to hide cables in either. This results in a very messy interior.
Highly recommend you get a better Coolermaster / Corsair budget case.
Why not just build your own?
CTO's (configure to order) are usually pretty overpriced when you buy from a retailer and from the manufacturer.
The only times I would buy from Dell is if there are good option from the Dell Outlet (AS NEW or REFURB) and when there are clearance (usually when the line is going obsolete and they're replacing with a new model.
You won't be able to configure when you order from the outlet, but at least you can buy the RAM yourself and upgrade the machine without voiding the warranty. RAM is very cheap from Amazon.
If I were you, I would try to contact their online sale person. I always (after bought a U2410 when they were on sale) manage to get 30% off or close even there is no sale on their website, to be specific, I get 1 x U2413 and 2 U2312 for myself and 2 U2414H for my friend.
