Muscle Meals - Frozen Meals Advice

Hi fellow Ozbargainers,

I've cooked my whole life, I always prepare my meals 2 days in advance but I've started studying again and I find it hard to have time to study, work, Gym training and still have time to cook. Also I've noticed that if you cook a proper healthy meal it end up being more expensive than getting some pre cooked healthy meals available(well when you put your time and electricity + groceries bill etc).

So I want some advice on where to get them if anyone have tried and recommend a company in Sydney.. I thought about www.mymusclechef.com, they have meal plans from $6.70 per meal if you buy the 28 meal plan but I don't think I have space in my fridge for all of them so I was considering the 21 meal pack…

what do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

  • Nah mate, cooking batches yourself (use on special meat/ingredients) will always come out cheaper (unless you know someone who works for them) and you'll know 100% what's in the meal. I guess all up depends on how you value time/money - but if you have time to cook youre better off that way IMO.

    • that's the thing.. I had time.. now studying at night it gets a bit hard… just want a opinion from someone that got something similar but thanks for the input. :)

  • Hi OP
I've used MMC and can answer any questions you may have. The main thing I noticed with them is it's usually meat and a carb or meat and a veg which I'd prefer meat, carbs and veg. I'd usually have the meat & carb for lunch and meat & veg for dinner.
They're pretty tasty and the containers are reusable which I like.
One thing I wasn't sure about was they used liquid smoke which some people say is bad for you.
Let me know if you have any other questions or if you'd like my referal code (I think you'd get a discount).
