    • The 2 cheapest link I clicked on for 32 and 64GB either says available in 2-3 weeks or 1-3 days* (conditional).

  • For Sandisk MicroSD, you do not need a local stock as the warranty is lifetime global.

    If you have issues on your Sandisk MicroSD, no matter where you have bought the item, you will need to contact Sandisk directly for RMA and get your item replaced.

    So. Better seek for the lowest price of a genuine product if you do not mind a period of wait.

      Incorrect, and any retailer who tells you that will run afoul of the ACCC.

      If you bought it from a store, the store is required by law to handle all warranty claims, and the store or manufacturer has to pay the shipping costs for it to be returned.

      MSY were fined $200000 for trying to avoid handling warranty claims:

      • However the RMA from Sandisk is also at their cost (with pick up service). Plus we mostly get great Micro SD deal from online retailers which means we always have to go through RMA process from post. If I have to post for RMA, I would send directly to Sandisk service center rather than to the online retailer and wait for their investigation and issue the replacement.

          I don't doubt that it may be faster to contact the manufacturer direct. I was simply pointing out that your initial post suggests that contacting the manufacturer is the only option.

          I finally found the link I was looking for, from the ACCC website:
          "The retailer who sold you the product or service cannot refuse to help you by sending you to the manufacturer or importer."

          i.e. the seller must handle the refund/repair/replacement if you go back to the seller.
