Anyone have problems with Pay wave readers. I had an issue with one at Woolworths. Could this be an issue with the pay wave reader. Who services these readers. I tried both my NAB card and ING Orange Every day and both didn't work. When paying by Pay wave does the check out operator have to type pay wave as a payment or is this automatic and you just present your card for payment.

The checkout operator will just click "eft" and its up to the customer from that point to either tap, insert or swipe
Woolworths ones are weird. You have to hold the card on any of the four corners of the screen. Not directly in the middle
Did you know the woolworths ones are touch screen as well?
yeah I had to do the same thing for woollies met centre
or amex though
visa and mastercard seems to work easier
Its an automatic thing, they often just click a button to initiate a card payment.
Sometimes you need to tell the tils what type of card it is (visa, MC, AE etc.) but not paywave.
