Should I Hand Back My OzBargain Badge ?

So I was looking to buy 2 phone covers this morning on eBay. The total cost is $29.70. I completed the purchase knowing that I have not applied the 3% cashback from cash reward because I was really lazy. Now the ozbargain lord calls and I'm kicking myself for missing out an easy 89 cents.

Should I hand back my ozbargainer badge ???

    sacrilege!

In the 1800s we would have burnt you on the stake.

There are no words to adequately express how this makes me feel. It starts with not signing in through cash rewards…….ends in paying full price at the likes of Harvey Norman. The shame.

Don't ever mention paying full price at Harvey Norman here.

Gonna have to report you to the ACCC over this.

I didn't even know you could buy phone cases that expensive!

    • **grave tone in voice**

I regret to inform you, mskeggs, that some even more exe phone cases exist.

Personally, I don't use a case of any sort - must be living very dangerously in leaving my phones completely in the nuddy. A couple of near-phone-death experiences, but I remain dumb.

Speaking of different near-death, I certainly hope that nobody in Mick Fanning's fambam is insensitive enough to buy him this case as a chrissie present.

On the poignancy of that thought, I'm granting you leave from any further guilt, @tomleonhart.
I've read the thread. You have suffered enough.

Thank you for your kind words. 89 cents has done my head in:-(

        • Take solace in, slash, and by way of my foolery in not using a case at all.

Maybe one day… when (non-implantable) phones at the very least have G-sensor triggered force-fields that kick-in when you drop your phone… nice phone cases will be worth a small fortune on collectors' market.

Then - you'll lean back in your globally-warmed rocking chair and laugh (ok, maybe still cry a tinsy bit) at that 89c overpayment.

          Stay strong.

    A 7-day ban should suffice.

What phone covers did you buy?

If I find an identical SKU through Aliexpress and it was cheaper than your purchase, this will call for an expulsion. And three points from Gryffindor.

TAKE A PANADOL YOU WILL FEEL BETTER OK

  • wtf, why would u buy one that expensive?! jeeeeeze

  • This post needs a poll added to it.

Next time you are thinking of buying a half price chocolate bar for $1, deny yourself the treat that you would have made anyway. That way you will reclaim your lost 89 cents and make a profit on the deal. This also applies to any other impulse buy treat etc.
