Finally a new cabernet on Vinomofo! This appears to be 2013 Jeanneret 'Westward We Went' Cabernet Malbec.

Not many reviews out there but personally I like the blend and region so I'm in for a case. Can always send it back.

EDIT: Have received and confirmed it is the Jeanneret 'Westward We Went' Cabernet Malbec.

  Jeanneret used to be my fave Clare Valley Winery.. But since price increases and then branching off into Brewing for Clare Valley Brewing, I think the wines have suffered.. There's only so much time in a day and getting the brewery up and running I suspect has just sucked too much time from the winemaker.
  The beers are really good. So all is not lost.
  And now that the Brewery is up and running seemingly pretty smoothly, maybe Ben can return to making great wines.

  Still for $8.10/bottle, I'd guess this was still an absolute bargain.

    Most likely Screw.
    Jeanneret use Glass stoppers on some of their "Top end" wines and cork only for the Sparkling if I recall correctly.

  Anyone have any thoughts on cellaring? On the VM website it's blank.

    A few years would generally be of benefit. But my cellar tends to keep emptying out…mice perhaps :-)

    I'm hoping this will be good to drink now. I'll update the post once it arrives.

  I got the delivery yesterday and it is the 2013 Jeanneret 'Westward We Went' Cabernet Malbec…go me! lol

  IMO it's a real winner. Very smooth, great flavour, drinkable now. Similar qualities to the Maverick Twins 'Bordeaux blend' and I much prefer it to the Amelia Park Cab Merlot that was popular here.

  It's a steal at $8.10 and I'll be in for several cases next time it comes up.
