was looking for a folding bike - stowaway sells for US170 plus shipping on amazon

      It's decent. Heavier than other more expensive folding bikes because it is constructed of steel instead of alloy.

    RRP$300… probably about right… the local bike shop sells some ranging from 250 to 1000 bucks.
    but the amazon one is a good comparison… because it's 'branded'… otherwise a lot are just some unknown chinese brand… hard to find comparisons or reviews.

    pretty decent it seems. gumtree seems to have second hand folding bikes anywhere from about 80-500 depending on brand etc.

    these would be ok to ride to work or something or just round a park.. keep it in the boot of car.

        I figure shipping must be $15-$40
        So for me I thought I would share.
        Might be useful for people looking for a reasonable folding back and get some exercise.

        nope, site says $13. So the price is unchanged. It's their normal price.

        It's either $173 with shipping
        or $160 with $13 shipping…

        claiming it is discounted from $300 is misleading…

  17.7kgs is heavy.
  There is no folding mechanism for the handlebars - on a proper folding bike, the handlebars fold down.
  The $150 sounds about right. You cannot compare this to a Dahon, or other folding bikes at the shop.

  How long is the seat post? I bought a cheap folding nike that was listed on OzB previously, and the seat was too low for an average person. i had to find and buy a longer seatpost.
