Large Convection Microwave

I am in need of a new microwave, looking for a larger one, about 1000w, would prefer stainless steel and a reputable brand but am flexible for the right deal, have had a bit of a look around and there doesn't seem to be many bargains at the moment. Ideally looking for sub $200, any one got any good deals going at the moment?

  • G'day mate.

I am also in the market for one, remember seeing a good deal on one for $99 a while ago, cant find the node now though… here are some I have found but im holding on for a more reputable brand :

http://www.kmart.com.au/product/homemaker-25-litre-microwave… <—- $120 for home maker, I had a play with it at Kmart, door opening button feels clicky and cheap in general

https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/28l-convection-microwave-oven/ <—— Kogan… also worried about the quality here.

I will follow this thread hopefully someone can help us both out :)

    • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/205995 I think this might be the one you are talking about, I rang the Robina store as its not to far from me but were told there were none at that price. She didnt in-still me with confidence however.

  • We bought one ("Cascade" brand) from Sam's Warehouse for around $200, and it's been fine for a couple of years.

    • I am pretty sure Sams Warehouse is no longer

      • That's true, but I have seen the same model elsewhere in other incarntions of Sams.

Ours gets used a lot, and is perfect for lazy lunches just heating up a couple of meat pies :-)

  • We have a Sharp Carousel convection microwave. Love it. It's actually second hand (from a relative of ours who has moved overseas). They had it since new… used very, very, very regularly. We've had it for a couple of years now with heavy use and it's never missed a beat. Built well. Solid unit.

  • Also in the market for a new microwave, mine just caught fire (note to self, do not let brother in law in my kitchen EVER again)

    • Me too, slowly stocking my first kitchen.
