Oral-B ProfessionalCare 500 Electric Toothbrush $50 @Pharmacy Direct + $7.95 Ship (Free over $99)

150

Got an email from Pharmacy Direct this morning for a 50% off sale on selected Oral-B products:
http://shop.pharmacydirect.com.au/search?ctl00%24ContentSLIS…

The ProfessionalCare 500 toothbrush is one that looked good to me. Email says sale is on until 31/08/2015.

Not the best price ever but best price I have seen for a few months. I'm replacing 2 old ones from a couple of years ago from the Boxing day Target/cashback deals that we got for $30 (after cashback).

50% off RRP but it is usually $70 from Chemist Warehouse or Shaver Shop.

The pro-care series rotate/oscillate faster and feel more powerful than the cheaper vitality models. They also have better battery life. If you just want a basic model and better battery/power than the vitality series, then this is a good choice.

Don't forget to check out the Freebies section to add some free samples before you checkout (limit of 2 per person, per order).

actually, i think the amazon listing is for the professional care 1000 (http://www.oralb.com.au/products/PC1000)

  • Are these NiMH or nicad? Anyone know what the life is like on them?

    • I get about a week from a charge.
      Going strong for 2 years

Yes! Been waiting for one to come on sale. Had my current 5000 for 4 years and the battery not lasting as long now. But Ive used it twice a day for 4 years, these are HEAPS better than the cheapest $35? ones. Thanks.

Been waiting for this also. This model is made in Germany while the cheaper models are made in China.

Got my last one about three or four years ago, for effectively free, as the price paid was $50 and the cash back was also $50. Battery needs to be charged a lot more frequently then before.

Might try and see if Chemist Warehouse is able to match or beat this price, if they can beat this price, they beat by 10%, and that would make it $45 and a saving on postage. Will post if i manage to get the price beaten.

    • I checked Chemist Warehouse lowest price guarantee before buying but it states:

"if you find a cheaper price on the same item at another Australian Retail Store, we will match it and give you 10% off the difference! (Excludes "online only" offers)"

      http://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/AboutUs/Why-Shop-With-Us

I believe Pharmacy Direct would be classified as an "online only" offer.

      • Yeah, you maybe correct, although it looks like pharmacy direct does also have a shop front.

Had one of these for around 4 years. Still working, though there is an issue with mould growth on rubber handle.

  • my pro-care battery finally failed after about 10 years.. good timing

  • "temporary unavailable"?

it was a good price so i guess they ran out

  • got mine today.. teeth are loving it.
    cheers op
(also got some meds I needed anyway to bring me to $100 free post)
