My local gives us full sized drumsticks :) I also usually pay the extra 50c for the three nuggets as well. Great deal.

    • how?!?!

  • +1

Hmmm large Whopper jnr or $3 Bacon deluxe … decisions, decisions : )

    • +2

      and small fries :3

  • +1

    Damn you're making me hungry.

  • +8

do I have to print this, or it's fine to show this on phone

    • tried this today and they said no

    • Showed my phone today and they let me have it.

  • +4

It's a wonder they don't just put these vouchers in a separate tab of the shake and win app or something.. pretty sure my store won't know anything about this, even though it's hosted on their own website.

  • how big is a mini drumstick?

    • +1

      80mL

      • +1

Did you melt it to measure that?

        • No. Purchased a 6 pack from Coles the other night. Total 480mL for 6 drumsticks (according to the box)

  • +1

Doesn't the Whopper Jr Stunner come with 3 nuggets now? At least they did a couple of weeks ago in Sydney CBD.

    • +1

      they do in Brisbane

  • gg im gonna get so fat lol

  • +1

So which stores are participating in ACT?

  • +1

Don't forget to use the app while you're there for an extra freebee.

    • +8

Wow a freebee? We've been stung by deals recently.

    • Not available in conjunction with any other offer?!

      • +1

The app doesn't require a purchase. Just go up twice if it really bothers you

  • Does anyone know if any stores would be willing to substitute the whopper meat patty with the veggie one?

    • veggie patty is 5" if i remember correctly. they'd do it, but you might have to pay for the veggie patty separately. or just complain that its discriminatory until you get what you want

    • Westfeild blacktown, sydney will do this. I did this couple of times.

    • +1

I've never had a problem doing it. Unsure of actual policy though; ask nicely and 99% of us will do it for you.

      • Thanks for replying :-)

    • +2

it tastes good, it feels good, it warm your body too

    • -7

I agree, this is not food, it's pure filth!

    • +8

Why on earth would people comment something like this on a fast food deal?
Do you think the other users are illiterate and don't know eating fast foods makes us fat?
      Be positive m8

    • +1

nobody forces you to buy it. but I suppose the numbers are not good.

    • +3

Hi macamaca, no one here cares about your opinion; looking at your comment history this isn't the type of deal you usually post so why start now?

    • pfft just another self-righteous food snob. nothing to see here

      • -1

Bargain tobacco deal worthy of OzB?
        Not much difference, IMHO.

        • lol not even the same, but here's a gold star for trying

        • +4

Okay, I wasn't going to comment, but you're honestly comparing this to tobacco? By that reasoning, there are alcohol deals on here all the time. Alcohol is a proven Group 1 carcinogen. It's literally a toxin people ingest. There is a direct and distinct correlation with increased alcohol consumption and various cancers, just like cigarettes. The health benefits of alcohol probably don't outweigh the risks.

Fat, salt and sugar, funnily enough, is actually not a proven carcinogen; separately, they're all essential nutrients the human body would not survive without. Sure, they can make you fat in excess and in that combo, but then, excess of anything makes people fat. Moreover, people are generally becoming informed now about nutrition, more than ever before. Nutritional info is constantly parroted everywhere— sometimes incorrectly (do eggs give cholesterol or not? Is low fat really good for you? We don't actually definitively know. Even the 'fact' of salt giving you hypertension is now under debate). But people know fast food is bad for them. So what's your point?

If you're going to be self righteous about health, and likening fast food to cigarettes, you should really start posting negativity on the alcohol posts too. And yet I had a look and I don't see you doing that.

That said I don't eat fast food that much nor do I drink much at all, but I don't begrudge people who want to do both those things, and I'm not going to tell people not to. Also, if I suddenly want to do those things, I don't need you to tell me it's bad for me just because it's suddenly socially acceptable to judge other peoples bodies and food choices constantly now, and be really vocal about it.

It's always been everything in moderation. It will always be that.

          This is OzBargain, not OzOpinionsOnHowToLiveYourLife.

We all like different things. It's not for one to tell another how to live, that's ISIS' job.

Is this a bargain? It appears so.

Let people make up their own minds as to how to live their lives.

  • Has anyone successful used the voucher in Sydney?

  • Thanks OP.

If you get a large Whopper Jr meal, can you still call it Jr, or should it be a regular Whopper Senior? ;)

    • the whopper is still junior as it didn't get the upgrade.

    • The large refers to the portion size of the chips and drink. The burger itself doesn't change size. There is only 1 size whopper, 1 size whopper junior etc.

  • -1

    What exactly is the upgrade?

  • +1

Has anyone used this in Wollongong? EDIT: from your phone that is.

Also is it just me or has the post mix cola changed in HJ. Tastes really weird now, you'd expect it to taste the same as McDonald's considering they both serve coke.

    • They have always diluted it with water because of their unlimited refill in stores.

      • +1

Too bad they're removing them from stores here…

  • +7

I went to the one at Central Station, Sydney and showed them the image on my phone. They gave me the regular meal so I showed them the image again. The woman flat out said they weren't a participating store so I asked to talk to the manager. She left and then returned moments later saying that they were in fact participating and gave me the upgrade. >.>

Not the first time I've had advertised deals rejected from that store. The last time I got a free complimentary meal out of it though.

    • This never makes sense to me. Every time I go to HJ I get workers who seem happy to do whatever, they don't really seem to care.

It seems like it would be much easier to accept your voucher then to reject it..

    • The woman flat out said they weren't a participating store

it always bothers me when the conditions say "participating stores" and they don't provide a list of participating stores.

having that list with you would be handy to prove to them that they are indeed participating in the promotion

    • +2

Good on you for escalating. Dumb people.

    • This sort of stuff really annoys me. I'm grad you got fixed up though; some staff are so rude about money that isn't even theirs…

  • Worked in sylvania

  • do they accept print out from the computer?

    • Yes.

  • +2

It's amazing how little this voucher is being used. I only received two in 16 hours last weekend. Use it! Unbelievably good value. :)

    • I think Ozbargainers are not more than 2% of the total population.

      • +1

Scary thing is, if we DID start growing numbers wise. I'm sure the economy would shut down.

        • +1

lol anything to send Gerry Harvey out of business.

  • has anyone else experienced a store interpreting the "free large upgrade" as giving you a large fries + drink in addition to the original stunner meal's small fries + drink?

this just happened to me. colour me stunned
