My daughters birthday is coming up and I want to get her a t.v to play her Wii U on. Any recommendations on what would be the best model to purchase for around $300?

Hey, thanks for replying. I've contacted a couple of people on gumtree today for further info on a few tvs such as model numbers and screen size so I can research them. Not too much available in my rural area though.
Yeah that can always can an issue. If you just keep an eye on your local JB Hifi or Dick smith you might see a few in store specials, I picked up a 32" HD Sony for $299 18 months ago, Was great at the time. Just depends what size you want. Some of the lesser know brands are ok, but they are not all created equal, so doing your research is the way to go, just keep in find most people write bad reviews when stuff breaks as opposed to "this is a great cheap TV"
There's this Dicksmith 31.5" (80cm) High Definition LED TV from DSE for $249 with a $50 discount (after adding the cheapest item I could, a $2.98 USB charger, to bring it over $300). I really don't know if it's any good though.
You could pick up a pretty sweet second hand TV off Gumtree for $300, otherwise you will probably be looking at those cheaper brands around the 32".
