  • Savings and Transaction : Ubank + ING

Credit Cards : Citibank Visa Signature, Amex Velocity Platinum

    Others: Citibank Visa Debit

    Mortgage: None

  • +1

Savings and Transaction : ANZ mortgage offset account

Credit Cards : ANZ Amex frequent flyer (comes with VISA for same account). These others I have but don't use, they are fee free and for special purposes: Citibank Visa Signature, 28 Degrees Mastercard and ANZ general credit card came with mortgage.

    Others: Citibank Visa Debit

    Mortgage: ANZ Breakfree

    • I have pretty much the same set up.

Savings and Transaction : ANZ mortgage offset account. Everything goes in here!

      Credit Cards :
1 - ANZ Qantas Frequent Flyer Black (Amex & Visa), got it last year when it had the 50,000 points & nil annual fee promo. Got the annual fee waived this year through a number of emails via SecureMail. (Feel free to pm me to find out what I wrote, maybe it will help you secure a fee waiver too)
2 - NAB Qantas Frequent Flyer, got it early this year when it had the 40,000 points & nil annual fee promo. Got it because you can get add an additional card holder for free, so I named my dad as the additional card holder, yay points!! Will be cancelling it next year.
3 - Coles Rewards, got the basic card first, then I called up and asked if I could upgrade to the Rewards card for free, which they were happy to do for the first year. Using it mainly for the price protection and flybuys points. Will keep it if they waive the fee next year.
4 - 28 Degrees MasterCard, will keep forever because it's fee free, nil foreign transaction fee, great for travelling, and it also has the price protection.

Others: Citibank Everyday Plus transaction account. Fee free. Mainly for fee-free cash withdrawals when I travel.

      Mortgage: ANZ Breakfree

(p.s. I am very disciplined in my credit card management. I have an alert for each card to remind me to pay off the balance every month [as close to the date as possible, so my money stays in my offset for longer]. I never pay interest on my credit cards)

      • Haha, I got the ANZ flyer for the same reason. Turns out this year was where I spent the mopst money in my life (wedding, honeymoon and brand new car) so I've earned a whole bunch of points. I always tried to use AMEX if they didn't apply a surcharge, if they did I used VISA.

My annual fee is about due, do you mind PMing me what you wrote?

      • Have you considered setting up direct debits for the full amount on your credit cards. I've done this and they take the money out on the due date (plus you don't have to work around weekends / public holidays etc).

  • Savings and Transaction : ING Savings Maximiser and Orange everyday.

Credit Cards : CBA Amex Platinum and Visa Platinum (comes with mortgage). This I have but don't use, for it is fee free and for special purposes: Citibank Visa Simplicity Platinum

Others: ANZ Platinum Visa to park my Credit Card debt on interest free repayments and HSBC Visa Debit Card

    Mortgage: CBA wealth package

  • Savings and Transaction: MISA mortgage offset account - all wages go into here

Credit Card: Platinum Mastercard - no annual fee with CBA Wealth Package

    Mortage: CAB Wealth package

I used Credit Card for everything and pay it off when I get a friendly message alert from CBA.

  • Savings and Transaction : Westpac Choice

Credit Cards : Westpac Altitude Black [main card], BankWest Fee Free Mastercard [as a back up card]

    Others: —

Mortgage: Westpac under Premier Advantage package

I originally had the Altitude Gold card as there was no annual fee as part of the home loan package. I've since been upgraded but still don't pay an annual fee.

    • Possibly because you still have the home loan package :) ?

  • Mortgage - Beyond Bank from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/184641 - think I'm currently on 4.14%
Savings - Beyond Bank 100% offset linked account
Credit Cards - Westpac Altitude Visa
    28 Degrees
    Citibank Visa Debit

  • Transaction - NAB
sharebroker/margin account - NAB, would change to westpac but hard to get approved with my current credit situation

    Joint spending account - ING

    Mortgage/Offset - loans.com.au

    Credit cards -
NAB qff points + first year fee waived (x2)
Bankwest 18 month 0% balance transfer

Citibank plus debit for overseas spend

Saving my credit file now to try for a citibank cc :)

  • NAB is Pretty Terrible with their iSaver Accounts compared to mebank and 5% Cashback i guess, I might look that up hope its worth the hassle switching over

  • I use Victorian Teachers Mutual Bank which recently changed its name from Credit union to Mutual Bank.
Think I pay no bank fees on my debit card and same if I pay credit card off in time. Rarely use latter, just keep it when travelling overseas in case I lose debit card.
Is 28 degree card a better deal?

  • Savings and Transaction : ING Savings Maximiser and Orange everyday.

Credit Cards : Velocity Platinum & 28 Degrees for international purchases

Others: ANZ Platinum QFF AMEX/VISA - need to cancel these as my Velocity card arrived yesterday!

    Mortgage: N/A

  • Savings & Transaction: orange everyday x2 (one for everyday spending, one is offset with savings in it)

Mortgage: ING direct. 4.39% @ 89.88% LVR (had to be sub 90% for LMI promo of $1)

Credit cards: bankwest platinum more rewards (everyday spend). Citibank signature visa (0% balance transfer). ANZ qff rewards black - for 50000 free points, qf lounge invites and hopefully another BT offer one meet min spend.

  • Savings and Transaction : Loans.com.au offset, ME Bank with 5% PayPass Discount

Credit Cards : Amex Edge Platinum, Coles MasterCard Zero Fee, Citibank Signature (0% Balance Transfer)

    Mortgage: Loans.com.au

    • More info on this 5% PayPass discount? 🤔
